Hello!
I write this *short* intro from the unceded lands of the sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Coast Salish Nations.
Coming from a personal background of mixed ancestry I have always grown up amidst diverse and strong communities. These communities have shaped my identity and have led me to always hold up the strength and beauty of "on-the-ground" voices. This has led me to working directly with community but also to pursing a masters in what I like to quickly describe as "policy translation." In other words, finding ways in which to support communities- their voices and their stories- to the "decision makers" that impact them.
Working on AgendaGap has been a great opportunity because it allows me to critically engage with policy discourse, while supporting youth in understanding policy and how to mobilize their voice.
